This policy explains what happens to your information when you use dotool.app. In short: dotool.app does not ask you to create an account, sets analytics cookies only if you accept them, and processes what you type or choose in your own browser.
Who we are
The website is operated by Shortcut Studio Ltd., Bulgaria, which is the controller of the limited data described below. Contact: info@dotool.app.
Your input and files stay on your device
Numbers, text, colours and images you enter or choose are processed in your browser. They are not uploaded to or stored by dotool.app. When you convert a HEIC photo, the decoder is loaded from our own server and the photo is decoded on your device. Reloading or closing the page clears what you entered.
What is stored in your browser
dotool.app keeps two kinds of small settings in your browser storage (local storage, not cookies): your light or dark theme choice, and the list of tools you saved or recently opened in My workspace. This data stays on your device and is not sent to us. You can remove it with the controls in My workspace or by clearing site data in your browser.
Server logs
Our hosting provider, Hostinger, delivers the site and keeps standard server logs, which can include your IP address, the page requested, the date and time, and your browser type. We rely on this to deliver the website, keep it secure and fix errors (legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Logs are kept by the provider for a limited period under its own policies.
If you contact us
If you email info@dotool.app, we use your email address and message only to reply and to handle your request. We keep the correspondence for as long as needed for that purpose.
Analytics and cookies
If you click Accept in the cookie banner, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used, for example which pages are opened, from which country and on which kind of device. Google Analytics sets the cookies _ga and _ga_VGCDLV0XPW, which last up to two years, and receives your IP address and the pages you visit. We have turned off Google signals and advertising features, and we do not use the data for advertising. Analytics data is kept for 14 months. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, and data may be transferred to Google LLC in the United States under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. The legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR).
If you click Reject, Google Analytics is not loaded and no analytics cookies are set. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time with Cookie settings in the footer of every page, or by clearing site data in your browser. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a rejection.
Other third parties
Apart from Google Analytics after you accept, dotool.app pages do not load third-party scripts, fonts or advertising. Some pages link to outside references, such as standards bodies. Those sites have their own privacy practices. If we add advertising in the future, we will update this page first and ask for consent where the law requires it.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask us for access to personal data we hold about you, and for its correction, erasure or restriction, and you can object to its processing. Write to info@dotool.app. You also have the right to complain to the Bulgarian Commission for Personal Data Protection (cpdp.bg) or to your local data protection authority.
Children
dotool.app is a general-purpose tool site and is not directed at children.
Changes
We may update this policy as the site changes. The date at the top shows the latest version.
