A PNG in. A smaller JPG out. Nothing leaves your browser.
Drop static PNG, JPG, WebP or HEIC images here, or choose files.

Common settings apply to every file. With Keep proportions in Pixels mode, the width is shared and each height follows its own image. Files are processed one at a time.

ZIP includes ready files only, including clearly marked results that did not reach their target. It bundles the image files without recompressing them.
Target size and reduction need JPG or WebP. Select one of these formats to enable them.
Higher quality usually creates a larger JPG or WebP. PNG does not use this setting.
Lossless mode uses OxiPNG to optimise the original PNG when dimensions are unchanged. Pixel values and transparency are preserved. Changing Image size still resizes pixels. No colour quantisation is applied.
Used for JPG transparency and for added borders in Fit with background.
Settings changed. Generate a new preview to update the result.
Drag the divider to compare the result with the original in the same view. Zoom focuses on the centre; download the file to inspect the full image.
Previews fit the available space. Open or download the result to inspect it at full size.
Use the generated image as the input for another tool, without choosing a file again.
Canvas export re-encodes pixels. Original metadata is not preserved; colour appearance may vary. This is not a lossless metadata-preserving optimiser.
JPG uses lossy compression, so the file is usually much smaller than the PNG, especially for photos. It cannot store transparency: transparent areas are filled with the background colour you choose, white by default. Lower quality gives a smaller file but more visible artefacts, so check the preview before you download.
All tools →JPG cannot be transparent, so those areas are filled with the background colour you choose. It is white by default.
Around 80 to 90 is a good balance for photos. Screenshots and graphics with sharp text may need a higher value to avoid fuzzy edges.
No. dotool.app converts the image in this browser tab. The file is not sent to a server or saved, and closing the tab clears it.
