UUID generator●
Generate random v4 or time-ordered v7 UUIDs in bulk and copy them.
New UUIDs appear as soon as you change a setting.
Result
UUIDs are generated with your browser's secure random generator and are never sent or stored.
Which UUID version to use
A v4 UUID is 122 random bits and is the usual choice for IDs that must be unique and unguessable. A v7 UUID starts with a millisecond timestamp, so new IDs sort in creation order, which keeps database indexes fast. Both are generated here with the browser's cryptographic random source.
Password generator →Common questions
What is the difference between UUID v4 and v7?
v4 is fully random. v7 begins with the current time in milliseconds followed by random bits, so v7 values sort by creation time.
Can two UUIDs ever collide?
In practice no. With 122 random bits, you would need to generate billions per second for decades before a collision became likely.
Are these UUIDs secure enough for tokens?
They use the browser's secure random generator, but a UUID is an identifier, not a secret. For passwords and keys use the password generator.
Is anything sent to a server?
No. UUIDs are generated in your browser tab and never leave it.
